In the early 2000’s, the trucker hat became a mainstream fashion trend. Predominantly among suburban American youth associated with the hip-hop, pop punk and skater subcultures.
Trucker hats have been worn by skaters and punks now for 25 years. Made popular in the 1970’s by truck drivers as a cheap alternative ball cap.
